How do I found out about my local business laws and regulations?

I want to start my own small business, I live in Indianapolis. I am having troubles finding out about laws and regulations that apply to my business. I went to the INDY Chamber of Commerce web site but needless to say it doesn't provide any kind of info for what Im wanting, Its more of a political campaign site in my opinion. I have a few Ideas in mind for my business that aren't related to each other so they would have separate laws. Where is a good starting point?
