What are the best over the counter medicines to beat Bronchitis?

My dad gave me his bronchitis. I need to ease the symptoms as quick as possible because my college graduation is next weekend and i would like to enjoy myself without worry about hacking all over the place. Any suggestions for medicine or other ways to treat it? Thanks!
