Chances of catching blood bourne virus whilst getting a blood test.?

Is there much of a risk catching a blood bourne virus like Hepatitis whilst getting a blood test conducted at a GUM clinic or doctors? Even though the tester washed their hands they do touch stuff like the cotton wool and plaster afterwards so is there a risk they could touch something and put the virus on those items?
