Im an American i just moved over here and WOW. Everything is great here, economy was the only major onne that didnt go down, population is rising fast, army is rising fast, progressive govt, low unemployment, mive respect for australia among NATO countries, ANZUS, exactly same culture as USA, Aussies want and probably get World cup and Olympics in next decade and a half, News Corp-BHP-Rio Tinto-Billabong-Rip Curl- Westfeild- Reebok- GMHolden are stronger than ever and are selling internationally, Toyota and Nintendo and SEGA are opening up HQ's here and are having there stuff built here, countless number of Celebs known accross globe like- Cody Simpson, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, Eric Bana, Tammin Sursok, Hugh Jackman, ACDC, Emily Osment, and heaps others your PM Gillard is known accross the globe (mainly cos she is a woman (second most powerful woman leader in world) and she gained power without vote). ppl accross globe know what the AFL is (same audience as NFL, ppl will watch it mainly out of curiosity) free healthcare, great security, NBN, uranium and heaps of other large stockpiles of minerals, international respect, no real enemies except NK and Iran, 79% College erolment rate (4th in world, 1st is 81%). I say a decade or two and Australia will be amongst the big boys like china brazil and the States
