Ok, so I'm totally head over heels in love with this guy....?

and I'm serious when I say I'm in love with him. The unfortunate thing is a relationship between him and I can never be. I'm heartbroken, but I understand. My question is how can I get over this heartache easier and quicker, and when I actually do get over him and start dating again.........how do I NOT compare anyone new to him?
