What are the odds of having a tv show as a biologist on animal planet?another channel? read below too please?

i'm 18 and going to jc in the summer and ive wanted to be a biologist with my own show since eight, and i just talked to a reliable source and he said that not many nowadays have their own show. i was heartbroken when i heard. but im still not deterred. and animal planet has worn down since jeff stopped showing and steve died. people have also said i'm good at acting. what are the odds of me having my own show? and wth a phd in biology?
